MISSION
BYC is a weekly drop-in program where Black youth in London, ON can become part of a community of peers and mentors with shared experiences. The program was started and is being led by Black youth who saw the need for a space where Black youth ages 13-19 can connect with supportive individuals. Black Youth gain access to a network of organizations and leaders dedicated to youth development. They also engage in solution-focused discussions about community building while celebrating their diversity.
Community
Black Youth will connect with peers and leaders who share similar experiences.
Leadership
Black youth will be inspired to reach their potential by seeing and interacting with professionals and leaders.
Growth
Black youth will have increased opportunities to build a sense of community and to celebrate their cultural diversity.
Black Youth Connect creates a space where Black youth in London, ON become part of a community of peers and program leaders who share their cultural identity and experiences.
